Siemens Healthineers publishes third-quarter 2026 results

The investor hub published the company report, presentation, and analyst materials for its third quarter of fiscal 2026.

Why it matters: AI product announcements can look important without showing up in the business. Quarterly filings give investors a place to look for orders, revenue, margins, or strategy that connect those products to company performance. Siemens Healthineers is diversified, so the AI story has to be separated from everything else it sells.

Hologic wins a European patent ruling that pulls Siemens Healthineers mammography systems from three countries

Hologic announced on June 16, 2026 that the Unified Patent Court in Germany ruled on June 10, 2026 that Siemens Healthineers infringed European Patent EP 2 352 431, which covers focusing technology in the Hologic Envision platform. Hologic says the court granted an injunction against making, selling, marketing, using, importing or storing the MAMMOMAT B.brilliant systems in Germany, France and the Netherlands, ordered a recall and destruction of affected systems in those countries, required Siemens Healthineers to refund customers and cover logistics costs, and left past and future damages for the court to set. Essex Mitchell, chief operating officer at Hologic, gave the company statement. The release names Siemens Healthineers AG, Siemens Healthcare GmbH, Siemens Healthineers Nederland B.V. and Siemens Healthcare SAS as the parties, and does not mention AI.

Why it matters: This is a hardware and patent fight, not an AI story, and that is exactly why it matters to a buyer of imaging AI. Breast imaging AI runs on top of a mammography system, so a hospital in one of these three countries now faces a scanner being removed and a decision about what replaces it, which drags every connected software choice along with it. Only Hologic has published its account here, so the scope of the recall, any appeal, and the final damages are all still open. A buyer outside Germany, France and the Netherlands is not directly affected by this order.
