Latest Developments
Insilico Medicine's 2.5 billion dollar SK deal starts with up to 18 million dollars
Insilico Medicine said on 29 June 2026 that it signed a research collaboration with SK Biopharmaceuticals to find AI-designed drug candidates for neuroimmune disorders of the central nervous system, covering neuroinflammatory, neurodegenerative and rare neurological conditions. The company states a total deal value exceeding 2.5 billion dollars in potential development, regulatory and commercial milestones, with up to 18 million dollars in upfront and near-term milestone payments and single-digit royalties on net sales. Insilico says it uses its Pharma.AI platform for discovery while SK Biopharmaceuticals handles late-stage development and commercialisation, and reports nominating 31 preclinical candidates since 2021 with 13 receiving investigational new drug approval, from a pipeline of more than 40 candidates.
Why it matters: Milestone-based deal values in this industry are almost always a ceiling that is never reached, because each payment depends on a molecule clearing a stage most molecules do not clear. The cash that matters now is up to 18 million dollars, and for a company listed on the Hong Kong exchange that is the figure a shareholder should model. The genuinely interesting number is the other one: 31 preclinical candidates since 2021 with 13 investigational new drug approvals is a real conversion rate, and it is the measure of whether the AI platform works. Neurological disease is also among the hardest places to prove a drug, so expect a long wait before any milestone triggers.
Careers and Qualifications
What to Know Before Applying
Work areas: Computational biology, medicinal chemistry, machine learning, clinical development, software, and biopharma partnerships.
Qualification signal: Scientific roles commonly require advanced training in biology, chemistry, medicine, or computation. Evidence that you can connect a model to an experimental result matters more than a broad AI certificate.
Check current roles at Insilico Medicine. A careers page is the source of record for openings. This profile does not claim a role is open unless the company lists it now.

No clearance is linked in this directory. That is not automatically a mark against the company. Some products support the people doing the work instead of reading a patient image or signal themselves.
